What is Sexual Assault?
Sexual Assault refers to sexual contact or behavior that occurs without the explicit consent of the victim.

Some forms of sexual assault include:
Attempted Rape
Fondling or unwanted sexual touching
Forcing a victim to perform unwanted sexual acts i.e. Oral Sex or penetrating of the perpetrators body

Survivor Centered Services Include
Crisis Intervention
Trained Advocates are available on our 24-hour hotline to provide crisis intervention, emotional support and referrals to survivors, their families, and friends.

Legal Advocacy
Legal Advocacy and Referral Services are available for survivors working with law enforcement, the District attorney's office, and the court system.
Advocates are available to accompany the survivor while meeting with law enforcement, prosecutors' offices, and courts on request.

Medical Advocacy and Accompaniment
Advocates are there to provide comfort to the survivor by offering support and ensuring the survivor has next steps and referrals.
Trained advocates accompany and provide support to survivors of sexual assault during the forensic examination process.
Community Education
Aware Advocates provide education through outreach and presentations to discuss the dynamics of Sexual Violence, its causes and consequences, and our services.
