What is Family Violence?
Family violence is a pattern of behavior where one person tries to gain power and control over another through fear and intimidation. This can take the form of threatening or actually using physical violence. Abuse can also be emotional, verbal, economic, or sexual.
Family violence happens to men and women of all racial, economic, and religious backgrounds.

Aware Central Texas’ Family Violence Unit also provides Sexual Assault bags and Human Trafficking bags to survivors who need them! These bags contain socks, underwear, a padded bra, leggings or sweatpants, a shirt, a pair of flip flops, and hygiene items such as shampoo and conditioner, body wash, lotion, a toothbrush and toothpaste, washcloths, a towel, and more!
