Everyday is child abuse prevention month at Aware.

Aware is the only agency whose sole focus is on prevention. We believe that education is key to prevention and prevention is the key to diminishing the shamefully high rate of child abuse in our communities.

    Classes & Groups

    Parenting and Anger Management classes taught by qualified professionals throughout Bell, Coryell, and surrounding counties. Juvenile Anger Management are also available to teens. Mood/Stress Management, anti-victimization classes and support groups are also available in select locations.

    Family Coaching

    Volunteer family coaches functions as a healthy support system for families. They visit families in the comfort of their homes to offer encouragement, support and model healthy relationship and parenting. Its collaborative efforts with other agencies assure continuity of care of at-risk and underserved families.

    Family Violence Unit

    From crisis to confidence, FVU provides one on one assistance to survivors of domestic violence and their children. Services available include assistance with safety planning, applying for Crime Victims Compensation, Protective Orders, housing, relocation, and referrals to other resources in the area.
